Nora (31) takes her son Sil (9) away from their overcrowded, overheated city, despite his resistance and his father's objections. During their journey through a desolate landscape, Sil touches a dead tree, triggering a mysterious transformation that terrifies him and creates a growing rift between them. When they finally reach a lush forest, Sil, now fully transformed into an unrecognizable creature, bids farewell to Nora and vanishes into the woods, leaving her heartbroken and alone.
